INSURANCE

TCM GLOBAL takes all possible care to ensure that your possessions arrive in the same condition as they left. Sometimes, however, the unexpected can happen when moving overseas. For this reason we suggest you always insure your goods, you will be insured from the moment TCM GLOBAL arrives at your residence, right through to the delivery at your final destination.

We offer comprehensive insurance coverage for all your valuable possessions. With an "All risk, door to door marine insurance" policy, if an item is lost or damaged beyond repair while moving overseas, you'll receive reimbursement for the full replacement cost - without consideration of depreciation - up to the declared value you placed on the item.  Your goods will be covered against theft, loss, damage, fire, sinking of the transportation vessel, etc. Deductibles may apply depending on the premium chosen.

Remember; always insure your goods for the amount of money it would cost to replace then in the country you are moving to.

VALUED INVENTORY

The valued inventory is an extremely important part of the relocation process; it will help you to determine the appropriate level of insurance coverage.  Though it appears to be somewhat complex at initial glance, it is really quite simple and is an invaluable tool in the event you have to file a claim. All items should be listed on the form and it’s important that you declare properly value and insure all items.  All items should be valued at the replacement cost in your destination country.

Please note: Items not listed on the valued inventory are not insured and will not be considered in the event of a claim.

Please carefully review the terms and conditions of the coverage, paying close attention to items that are excluded from coverage. Once you have fully completed the valued inventory, return it to your mover, agent or forwarder, as it should be attached to the insurance certificate for coverage.

SHIPPING AN AUTOMOBILE

If you are shipping an automobile, please be certain nothing is shipped inside the car. There is no coverage for "household goods and personal effects" that might be shipped in the automobile. Also be sure non-factory installed items are specifically listed and separately declared for coverage. Please contact us if you have any questions about completing the form.

If you are moving an automobile, it will be necessary that a Condition Report be completed and signed by you and the moving agent at origin and again at destination.
